hello, world

Welcome to my blog! It runs on handwritten PHP, Apache and a folder full of text files. No database, no framework, no node_modules. It's basically 2004 in here¹.

how posts work

Every post is a .txt file in data/posts/. The top has a few Key: value lines, then a blank line, then the body.
Blank lines make new paragraphs, single newlines become line breaks, and you can write raw HTML whenever you want.

<?php
echo "code blocks are left alone";

even with blank lines in them.

images & videos

Upload stuff from the editor (button, drag & drop, or just paste a screenshot) and it drops a line like this in for you:

[img /uploads/cat.png optional caption]
[video /uploads/clip.mp4 optional caption]
[gif /uploads/loop.mp4] autoplays + loops, like a gif
[audio /uploads/song.mp3]
[youtube dQw4w9WgXcQ optional caption]

quotes are just <blockquote> tags.

Footnotes work too², click the little number.
